Platinum Weddings
We were proud and honored to be the floral provider for the wedding of Christine Tamer and Jonathan Bossham on the 3rd of January 2009 at the Piazza in the Village, in Colleyville.
Here’s the story from Ed Barrett, Owner of Signature Productions:
“Micheal Tamer (Christine’s Father) was giving me a ‘hard hat’ tour of the chapel as it was under construction and I asked him if he minded that I contact Platinum Weddings regarding the fact that he was building a chapel for his daughter.
He laughed and said of course, I could. He just wanted to be assured that they would not interrupt Christine and Jonathan’s day.
So, I contacted them via email and didn’t hear anything back for awhile. About 6 weeks later, I received a phone call from the producer and the rest is history.
…the week of the wedding was a whirlwind, with cameras around and in the shop, watching our every move.
During the taping, I was wired for sound and the cameras were following us all over the chapel as we scrambled to set up and insure that every flower was where it needed to be.
We completed our set up in time and as Christine was getting ready to make her grand entrance into the ballroom, she leaned over to me and said, ’everything is perfect…better than I had imagined.’ Comments like that are why I do what I do.”
Christine’s vision was lots of orchid’s, hydrangeas, curly willows in tall trumpet vases and large branches of Manzanita wood climbing out of them.
Ed worked with Christine and her mother, Annette Lahouda, for some time to assist them in making Christine’s dream of a Secret Garden wedding come to life.
Altogether, we used:
- 10,000 Orchids.
- 500 white and green Hydrangeas.
- 500 stems of hanging Ameranthus.
- And to make the night sparkle, over 10,000 vintage chandelier
crystals were incorporated into her design.
We are glad we could made it happen for her. The show will air in the fall of 2009 on We TV.
